Corundum blasting media as beads, like glass beads 
Our round Illuminar blasting media based on aluminium oxide produces a beautiful degree of gloss and a homogeneous, smooth surface. It is suitable for use in all types of blasting machines and offers an alternative to glass and ceramic beads. In particular, it is suitable for processing high-quality on visible parts, such as decorative mouldings and handycovers. 

Even the use in blasting turbine systems, as an alternative blasting media to steel blasting media or stainless steel blasting media is possible by adapting the system technology. 

The significant difference to ceramic beads is, that our Illuminar blasting media has no increased natural radioactivity and therefore no workplace restrictions have 
to be observed.

Fields of application illuminar 
blasting media

  • on all metallic surfaces
  • cleaning, for example removal of tarnish or scale
  • finishing, optical effects, a uniform gloss level on the surface can be created
  • compacting, shot peening, surfaces can be compacted in a targeted manner. Compaction improves the mechanical properties of the respective components

  • Packaging: 25 kg sacks, 1000 kg per pallet
